Memory Craft 6600P
Once
in a great while, specifically twice in 18 years, we see a
machine that is so special and so beloved that we almost never
get them traded in. The first such machine was the Memory Craft
6000. Several years later came the Memory Craft 7500, a quick
successor to the Memory Craft 7000. In 2003 we saw the debut of
the Memory Craft 6500P, and it was an overnight success. Popular
as it was, there were features that were requested and Janome
has responded with the Memory Craft 6600P. It has all the
features that were loved on the 6500P -
 | The largest arm and bed space of any
household machine, at 9" x 5" |
 | Straight stitch speed of 1,000 stitches
per minute |
 | Automatic thread cutter |
 | Bobbin winder with its own motor, so you
can wind a new bobbin while sewing |
 | Knee lift for presser foot |
 | Hundreds of stitches, including letters |
Now add these exciting features to the
6600P -
 | Start/Stop button for sewing without
using the foot control |
 | Dual sewing lights |
 | Improved screen clarity with more
information on the screen |
 | AccuFeed Layered Fabric Feeding
System features a built-in walking foot, coupled with
Janome's exclusive 7-point feed system |
No doubt about it, this is another
Janome classic model that will not ever be easy to find
on the used machine market! |

Janome 1600P
For the sewing professional who
desires industrial machine speed and power, but without the huge
and heavy stand, oil bath, and other distractions, the 1600P is
the perfect choice. At 1,600 stitches per minute, this straight
stitch model gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Its
sealed ball bearing design eliminates the need for a multitude
of oil holes, eliminating the risk of oil spots on your
projects. The built-in thread cutter is an additional
time-saver. There's also a built-in needle threader to simplify
the threading operation. Dual Krypton lamps illuminate the
sewing area, and a knee lift allows you to raise the presser
foot without taking your hands off the fabric. Bobbins load from
the side, making it easy to use on a quilting frame. The 1600P
uses HL industrial needles.
For those that do
a lot of home dec sewing, the 1600P is a dream come true. It's
got the speed and power to get the job done quickly and
professionally. |

MB-4 Professional
4 Needle Embroidery Machine
This
most powerful
member of the Janome family of embroidery machines is an
absolute marvel. It can be viewed as a very high-end home
machine, or as an entry-level commercial machine. With 4
needles, it can sew designs of up to 4 colors non-stop, clipping
threads between color changes and jump stitches. Sewing speed is
a very respectable 800 stitches per minute, the maximum at which
most commercial embroidery is done. The maximum sewing field is
240mm x 200mm, somewhat larger than 9" x 7". It comes with 3
standard hoops:
 | MB-1: 240mm x 200mm |
 | MB-2: 126mm x 110mm |
 | MB-3: 50mm x 50mm |
A cap hoop is available, as well as a sock
hoop system and additional lettering hoops. You can also use Tajima
hoops, up to the maximum hoop size of 240mm x 200mm.
Designs are input through the detachable
screen (RCS), from USB memory, ATA PC Cards, or even external
CD-ROM. The MB-4 accepts the Janome JEF format, as well as
Tajima DST. The RCS can control as many as 3 MB-4 machines. You
can also control the MB-4 using the Janome Digitizer MB
software.
